ABOUT
GOODONE GLOBAL
PROFIT WITH A PURPOSE
OUR STORY
As a social business, goodone reinvests the profits we earn from cashews into the lives and communities of the farmers who grow them. This is not charity. It’s a partnership for change through profit with a purpose.
Investing in Farmers
Hard work is hard work, and we insist on paying our farmers a premium for it.
Most systems of trade were designed to value profit over people. All too often, this leads to exploitation for the people who produce the world’s goods, as well as the ecosystems in which the goods are produced.
This is not how goodone does business.
We want our farmers to enjoy sustainable livelihoods, including income that allows for planning, saving, supporting a family, and investing in their farms and futures.
Rebalancing the Value Chain
Our commitment extends to strengthening the local value chain.
By paying a premium for our cashews, goodone encourages other buyers to do the same, including foreign companies.
And while Ghana exports 90% of its cashews production, goodone cashews return up to 15 times more income to the country. This is because we prioritize local investment, choosing to support 100% locally owned processors and buying agents to boost the economy.
Together, we’re not just growing cashews—we’re growing prosperity for Ghana.
GOODONE & ADRA
As a social business fully owned by the Adventist Development & Relief Agency (ADRA), goodone is able to provide transformative, sustainable change for our cashew farmers and their communities through ADRA’s established structure and existing programs, as well as share support with partner ministries and organizations.
FROM THE FIELD
Veronica has been taking care of her family on her own since her husband died a long time ago.
Now, she is helping to care for her grandchildren as well.
As a goodone farmer, she receives premium prices for her cashews, which covers the cost of keeping her grandkids in school.
But Veronica isn’t just working for the future of the little ones in her life.
She now earns enough that she can invest in her own business and plans to keep growing her farm!
Ethically and sustainably sourced cashews that taste good, do good, and give back to farming communities.

FAIR TRADE
Our planet is dying. Climate change destroys communities and livelihoods. We intend to fight back.
Our fair trade processes actively encourage better environmental practices and responsible methods of production.
Our team teaches the best practices for environmental management and production, such as:
More efficient and effective farming techniques.
Adding value through organic cropping.
Reducing carbon footprints.
Growing and managing forests.
Using the latest environmental packaging options.
Goodone works to address as many cross cutting issues as we possibly can in everything we do, this is why we promote business solutions for vulnerable communities, and sustainable practices to reduce our carbon footprint. We understand the issues of poverty and climate change are linked, and we want to tackle both simultaneously.
We follow the ten principles of the World Fair Trade Organisation.
We believe business solutions to poverty are achieved through fair trade by improving the livelihoods, incomes, education, food, security, and dignity for the communities in which we work.
For us, fair trade means there is full transparency from the farmer to the retailer and on to your cupboards and fridge. Our work is built on long-term relationships, because we believe in ethical and sustainable farming, fair wages, and permanent partnerships.
