FROM THE FIELD

Ernest is a goodone farmer.

His 30-acre cashew farm in the Nkoranza North district of Ghana has yielded good harvests year after year, but Ernest rarely saw the returns he should from those harvests.

Unstable purchasing prices meant the income that came in wasn’t sustainable, and middlemen promising better pricing delivered little more than delays and other challenges.

Now, Ernest can depend on premium pricing and timely payments for his cashews. His goodone income has allowed him to invest in his farm, his home, his children, and his family’s future.

“I will forever be grateful to goodone for making me realize how profitable cashew farming can be,” said Ernest. “Since my produce was bought above the government’s base price with a premium, I have enough income to support my ongoing building project. I was able to buy enough bags of cement for plastering, zinc sheets, and wood for roofing. I have also acquired five building plots for my children from the proceeds.”
